Lawrence Kasanoff is the head of Threshold Entertainment which brings you everything Mortal Kombat except the video games themselves. He brought us the 2 MK films, the live tour, Defenders of the Realm cartoon, and Mortal Kombat Conquest along with many other things. He joins us this evening here as the guest of MortalKombat.com Fight Night to chat with the fans.

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Welcome everybody and glad you came. I am thrilled to announce the next new production in our MK universe. The Mortal Kombat Federation of Martial Arts. It will premire on MortalKombat.com and will feature original, newly filmed fights with all MK fighters appearing here online each week."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Mortal Kombat Conquest is still on hold depending on political stuff a producer has to go through with a studio. (Don't want to bore you with the lawyer stuff) I believe it will come back. I believe the Federation of Martial Arts will migrate to tv as well. I would like to take this chance and thank the fans for their support and inform you that the show did very well in the ratings."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "I am working on it but there isnt a announcement yet on the 3rd film. What do you want the 3rd MK film to be about?"

#mortalkombat: Qborg says: "Rayden's conquest of the universe!" Guest70491 says: "Make it like Mortal Kombat 3 video game." Es|rc says: "More around the storyline of the 4th game." Greesman says: "I'd say focus on one or two story elements and elaborate on those, don't try to fit EVER single piece of storyline into the movie."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "We only hire extras from what area we happen to be filming around. We might do a contest for a extra role on Mortal Kombat Conquest in the future."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Yes, possibly on the videos and the soundtrack. In the future."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "We are working on getting Conquest back on soon. Who is your favorite fighter on the tv show?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Yes there will be new filming locations."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "The shows are going to change and become more wild and extreme and will not just focus on the 3 heros. Some might not make it back. It will focus more on the world of MK like the last couple of episodes did."

#mortalkombat: clintele says: "Will you make a producer's cut of MKA? I mean, there are so many things that were taken out, like the real ending with Quan Chi."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "I would love to release a MKA Special Edition. I wish the version we release wasnt what it turned out to be. We were over-ruled by the studio (New Line Cinema) on MKA. To get approval for MKA:SE we would have more of the political crap to go through but we are still working on it and we hope to show you the film you guys would like to see."

#mortalkombat: Fat_Abbott15 says: "Any time travel with the "red crystal" set for the upcoming episodes? I bet for the begining of the next season?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "It just might."

Lawrence Kasanoff: You have to wait and see...but I hear it wont turn out well for everybody."

#mortalkombat: Rayden says: "Jackie Chan should play as Liu Kang."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "We would love Jackie Chan to be in the future film or shows."

#mortalkombat: Takeda says: "Larry, any advice for a future producer?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "First off, (A:) Make sure it is what you really want to do deep down in your heart because there are alot saner ways to make a living, and (B:) Persistence, persistence, persistence, persistence. Keep trying because persistence pays. All the advice I can give you."

#mortalkombat: silent_assasin says: "Robin Shou signed a 3 movie contract for Mortal Kombat, so he'll probably act as Lui Kang."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "When you always read that someone has signed for a 3 picture deal, it means the studios has the option to use that person for 3 films. I cant comment on Robin's but that is what it usely means or involves."

#mortalkombat: Rayden says: "When does Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm show?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "We are working on something like Defenders of the Realms but very much cooler. A much better animated Mortal Kombat based show in the near future."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Would you like Talisa Soto to play Kitana in a 3rd film?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "We are working on some very very cool 3D animation and we will announce what it is soon at MortalKombat.com!"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "If you want to add a script to MKC, the pesky laws of the Untited States prevent us from accepting script except from hollywood agents or lawers. I hate how that works but that is the way it happens. If you write scripts you should get a hold of a agent. One more thing, by becoming a member of TheThreshold.com and you can build your own tv show and movie ideas online."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "On actors from the MK films appearing on MK Conquest we wouldnt have them on since they play a future fighter in the films which is set in the present and MKC is in the past some 500 years ago. What people would you like to see come to Fight Night?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Christopher Lambert is shooting a film overseas that he will be working on until the end of the year but we will ask him to come here."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "It takes several weeks to months to write a script, 2 week pre-production, 7 days for filming, and 6 weeks for post-production."

#mortalkombat: {k}nightmare says: "Do you have a working title yet for the 3rd Mortal Kombat Movie?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Only the elder gods know for sure what the 3rd film title is and script is. It will be more like the first film. Dark and evil."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "Yes Fujin will be in a future episode of MKC. We are working on a great Fujin storyline."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "I am very happy with Jeff Meek performance as Rayden."

#mortalkombat: clintele says: "Will Irina Panteva appear in MKC as Jade?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "I just talked to Irina the other day. It is just a question of her time. As you know she is a super-model and goes around the world. She is great and always has a place in her heart for Mortal Kombat. She has said to me quote "I am Jade" unquote many times."

#mortalkombat: Reiko says: "Can you tell us about Ray Park who was Darth Maul in the Star Wars film? He worked on a MK project before correct?"

Lawrence Kasanoff: "The guy that plays Darth Maul (Ray Park) in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace we discovered when we were casting and he did alot of work on Mortal Kombat Annihilation. He doubled as Rayden and did alot of other stunt work. Ray Park is playing as Rayden when he has the short hair and is fighting the Raptors (Reptile Ninjas) in MKA."

Lawrence Kasanoff: "You will be able to buy ninja outfits on MortalKombat.com in the near future and if you want to buy something right now write subzero@mortalkombat.com and tell them what you are looking for."
